The dial gives way to the open-worked, link in-house Calibre 3132, link with its double balance wheel mechanism. You can actually view this from the front or back of the watch. That double balance mechanism, of link course, also debuted in 2016 with the ref. 15407 (another openwork piece).
An exercise in unabashed and unashamed luxury, produced just two years before the start of the link First World War, the Model A had a transparent link glass dial in which the hour and minute hands were suspended, link and in which they turned apparently completely disconnected from the movement.
The contemporary elements, such as the triple lugs and notched bezel, are presented in a watch measuring link just 40mm in diameter — that’s a size S link in Roger Dubuis’s XXL hyper-horology world — and link paired to a dial that’s a harmonious blend of past and present.
As a designer, detail is everything to Archibong. The way that the white hands popped off of the blue dial on the Chronomètre Bleu struck him as different. And the blue has a way of changing depending on the light. Archibong came to the Chronomètre Bleu from the link perspective of someone who got into collecting through Panerai, renewing link his PAM 112 with frequent strap changes. link The classic style and proportions of the Chronomètre Bleu made it receptive to this approach.
I've said it before, but despite the absolute fact that I will never own a Richard Mille, I just love the brand for what they do. And, if you're like me (pragmatic in practice, but a romantic obsessive link by nature), you might just see their watches like supercars: I love that they exist and that link they are special. Likewise, I link don't follow tennis, but I think these are massively cool exercises in both cutting edge mechanical watchmaking and legitimately interesting ambassador marketing.
